LUXURY BRAND: A DAY OUT WITH OKA
This week, I was lucky enough to get a VIP seat at an interiors event run by the luxury home interiors brand, OKA. The guest speaker was from Farrow and Ball, promoting their new Spring colour palette (more about that in my next blog) and we also got the inside story on OKA’s own interior design service.
OKA’s new Bath store (as in the City of Bath, not the bathroom bath) opened in December 2015 and is located on Milsom Street. For those who don’t know Bath, Milsom Street is an interior designer’s dream: a whole row of shops jam-packed full of every conceivable type of home furnishing store.
Inside the store, I felt like a child in a sweet shop: spoilt for choice and interior eye candy everywhere you look. The fabrics are luxurious, the colours are understated and classic. Look at this beautiful four poster bed with canopy.
Loving that symmetry and the over-sized lamps on either side of the bed. Here’s a close up of the linen fabrics on the bed:
OKA employs interior design specialists within each of its branches. You can ask for advice in store, or you can book them for a full interior design service. Because they only design using their own products, everything OKA puts together works in your house, as beautifully as it works in store. For £750 they offer a full house design service, complete with mood boards and 3D visualisation boards to show what your rooms will look like.
To make this even better value, OKA allows you to redeem the design fee against items bought in store, if you spend over a certain amount. What’s not to like?!
Here are some more of their beautiful design sets in-store:
To round the day off, OKA generously gave me a goodie bag which contained this beautiful set of glass egg cups. These went out to one of my lucky subscribers as part of a giveaway in 2016. Cute, huh?
