Playing Big?

We Don't Just Teach You

We Nurture You.

We Develop You.

We Transform You.

Imagine what you can achieve...

Do you...

  • ... love decorating your own home but you think doing something you're passionate about, as a career, just isn't possible for you?
  • ... worry that you're not creative enough or talented enough to do it for other people and (*gasp*) get PAID for it?!
  • ... think perhaps it's too late for you to change career into something you are passionate about at this stage in your life?
  • .... feel scared of making the first step in case you make a mistake?

And you (not so) secretly dream of:

When you do what you love, work doesn't feel like work!
It's time to get yourself QUALIFIED, so that you can start making an INCOME from your passion. Who said work couldn't be fun?!

No more hit and miss designing. CONFIDENTLY pull together colours, fabrics and furniture to create 'Pinterest-worthy' design schemes. Spend your days expressing your CREATIVITY.

You no longer have to be a slave to someone else's timetable, or salary structure! You'll have the FREEDOM to design not just beautiful interiors, but to also design your HAPPINESS.

Just imagine if you could...

  • Study something you are genuinely passionate about, that excites you and makes you want to jump out of bed in the mornings
  • Acquire the skills to be able to create rooms just like the ones you see in magazines and on Pinterest.
  • Have a fulfilling career where you have the freedom to create your own schedule, working around your other commitments and passions, whilst bringing to life the creativity that's inside of you just waiting to get out!
  • Know that you weren't *just* going to sign up for an e-learning course, but that you were going to be supported, mentored and developed to create a whole new life for yourself.

That's where I come in!

Hey hey.... I'm Kate!

A few years ago I was in your shoes right now. Wondering about whether to take the leap into interior design, and if it would work out for me.

I eventually chose a course, but unfortunately for me, it wasn't quite the experience I'd hoped for...

Now, I'm a pretty clever woman (even if I do say so myself) but design was an entirely new discipline to me, and once I started studying I soon found myself needing a bit of support.

I needed access to someone who could just answer my questions and explain things in more detail than an online video alone could.

...I was often unable to get hold of my tutor, which meant that I ended up struggling alone, or asking questions in an unmanned Facebook group, which was a bit like the blind leading the blind if I'm honest! Waiting weeks for my marks was demotivating, as I never knew whether I was on the right track.

"It felt like I was in a diploma factory!"

At times it felt like I was in a diploma factory; just another number on their production line!

And when I eventually *did* qualify, I came out feeling like I'd been dropped off the edge of a cliff. There was no support to help me to forge a career using my new qualification. I had a diploma in my hand that *said* I was in interior designer, but I certainly didn't feel like one.

This was no way to develop people!

As a professional educator in my (then) day job, I knew this was NO WAY to deliver a high quality learning experience.

I knew that there was a better way to develop people, to provide a fully rounded educational experience so that students graduate - not just with a qualification in their hand - but with real, practical knowledge and the confidence to head out into the workforce.

And that's why I created THIS for you:

The BEST supported, UK government accredited

Level 3 Diploma in Professional Interior Design Skills

For People Just Like You!

  • EVEN IF... You're worried you're not good enough. (You are- we teach you how!)
  • EVEN IF... You think you don't have a creative bone in your body, your 5 year old daughter does better drawings than you and you can't pull together a colour scheme to save your life. (Honestly,  by the time we're finished with you, you'll know EXACTLY what to do)
  • EVEN IF... You think this is a crazy idea (it really isn't! Lots of other women are doing this too- see the testimonials below)

But will this work for ME?

interior design influencers

I know what it's like when you've got a big decision to make.
You sit there uhmmming and ahhhing.
Going round.. . and round... and round in your head.

Asking questions like:

But what if I can't do it?

But what if I find out I don't like it?

But what if I fail?

And on... and on...

And do you know what? My answer might surprise you because it's...

This qualification might NOT work for you!

  • You don't absolutely LOVE interior design. I mean you gotta love fabrics, colours, furniture and accessories to do this job, y'know?!
  • You believe that working in your dream career is just that - a dream - and can't become a reality
  • You'd rather sit around thinking "What if I fail?" rather than "What if I fly?"
  • You aren't ready to invest in yourself to practically guarantee that you will get yourself qualified and start on an exciting new journey

  • You love interior design and you know that the worst outcome here is that you study something you love and can impress your friends and family with your awesome decorating skills
  • You are ready to invest in your best asset: YOU
  • You finally realise that for true happiness in life you need to follow your passions
  • You know that, with awesome coaching and support, in a year from now (or sooner!) you could be a qualified interior designer, running your own business and making a living doing what you love.

Still Got Questions?

I've got answers!

Is this a proper qualification?

Do I have to take an exam?

Will my certificate say I studied online?

How much time do I need to commit and how long does it take?

What equipment do I need to get?

I can get this qualification cheaper elsewhere can't I?

When does the course start?

What happens after I apply?

Want to Hear From Some REAL People Who are Actually Doing It?
Here's some LOVE from our Interiors Family...

Kate is a great mentor and tutor. She is always on hand to answer any questions I have, and she is there to support me whenever I need it. Doing my diploma and setting up my business with Kate's support is the best money I've ever spent!

Kate creates a lovely atmosphere: it's a friendly and supportive community where all feel welcome. I call it my interiors family!

I am amazed at how much I’ve learned in such a small amount of time. Not only have I gained a vast amount of knowledge and information, I’ve also thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Kate’s friendly manner, and clear and concise delivery means you are instantly at ease with the course content.

There's also support through a closed Facebook group which I have been extremely grateful for. Those of you who are sceptical about the use of social media - don’t be! The Facebook group enables course attendees to share their work, post questions along the way and provide encouragement and suggestions to ‘class mates’.

Signing up to the diploma and becoming a part of The Home Design School community has been a life changing experience for me. Kate's unique teaching skills, and the support and dedication that she gives throughout the course is invaluable. I have gained so much more confidence than I ever thought possible.

Kate has created a wonderful, unique community where everyone supports and encourages each other. I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone looking for a more personalised one to one coaching experience.

Due to Kate’s continuous motivation and belief in me. I am now in the processes of setting up my own interior design business: something which I have only ever dreamed about.

I have fallen in love with this course! Signing up for the diploma was the best decision I made.

From the beginning of my diploma, Kate has been so supportive and kind. The course is structured in a way that you do not feel overwhelmed. Kate is a really great mentor who always takes time to go through any challenges you experience, and offers constructive feedback on assignments. I have really enjoyed this journey, and would recommend this program to anyone.

Enrolling in this course has been the catalyst to change in my life. I have always had a keen interest in interiors and, as a child, had dreams of being an interior designer but never thought it possible. However, this course, and in particular Kate, has given me the confidence to start to realise my childhood dream.

The course content may be very similar to others available online but what is unique about it is Kate. She is always available to give support, advice and most of all, motivation.

Having made the decision to change careers and start my own design business, I have recently joined the Interior Designers Hub. The hub not only provides a store of excellent ‘how to’ guides but also a place to share experiences and learnings with others that are building their interior design businesses. However, once again, it’s Kate’s input that is the key feature. Her coaching and counselling and invaluable.

If you are considering starting to study with the Home Design School or joining the Hub, I would wholeheartedly recommend that you ‘go for it!’

Anne Curtis Level 3 Diploma Student & Member of The Interior Designer's Hub

I'd been searching for an interior design course which suits me for years. In fact, I'd enrolled in e-learning courses before, but I found them lacking the support necessary to help me stay committed to the end.

After speaking with Kate in person I enrolled in the Home Design School's diploma and I am *so* glad I did. The experience is unlike any of the other e-learning experiences I have had before. Like most e-learning, the modules are presented in video format, and they are very easy to follow..

But what is unique about this course is that Kate is very hands on with both one to one and group support. She provides feedback that is encouraging, fair and positive.

I am looking forward to completing my diploma very soon; the first time I have felt motivated to stay the course.
